Could Demi Lovato shadow her ex-boyfriend and That ’70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama? That’s precisely what some followers are actually speculating after a snippet of their track “29” simply went viral.

Ahead of the discharge of her upcoming Holy Fvck album, she has ignited social media over a potential reference to Valderrama, who she broke up with six years in the past.

According to newly launched movies on TikTok, Lovato might be heard singing, “Far from being innocent / What’s the f–k’s approval? / Numbers told you not to do it / but that didn’t stop you.”

Elsewhere, she appears to level out their age distinction and the way completely different the connection was for each of them. She sings, “Finally 29 / Funny, just like you were back then. Thought it was a teenage dream / Just a fantasy / But was it yours or was it mine?”

When the snippet of recent music made its technique to social media, followers had been fast to reply to her lyrics and the track’s apparent subject material.

One particular person wrote on Twitter: “Demi Lovato comes out for blood with this new album as they call out ex Wilmer Valderrama.”

Another mentioned: “I love how ’29’ can be a reference to Demi’s relationship with Wilmer, but the title could also mean closing with her 20s, also her past as they turn 30… Demi is a true one Artist.”

Lovato beforehand mentioned their relationship in her documentary Simply Complicated. In it, she mentioned, “When I first met Wilmer, he was 29. I met him on January 11, 2010, and it was at a PSA shoot at his home for the 2010 census forms.”

She continued, “I thought he was really cute. I didn’t really bother with the census forms. but [when] I met him and I saw him for the first time, I was wearing hair and makeup and he came in and sat down and I said ‘I love this man’ and ‘I have to have him’. But I was only 17, so he said, ‘Get away from me.’”

Neither Wilmer nor Demi commented on the lyrics at the time of reporting.

Holy Fvck is set to serve as Lovato’s eighth studio album, preceded by the singles “Skin of My Teeth” and “Substance.” It is scheduled to be released on August 19th.
